As a dog owner, laws that you should know:
ORS 609.095 dog is a public nuisance: ORS 609.098 A dog is a dangerous dog if it: ORS 609.150 Harming or chasing livestock. ORS 433.345 Reporting dog bites required. ORS 498.102 Dogs chasing wildlife The animal may be killed by any person authorized to enforce wildlife laws. ORS 164.065 Theft of mislaid property.
CatsCurrently there are no State Statues or County Ordinances relating to stray or lost cats. Thus Animal Control can not assisted residents in this area. Cats that are feral or a nuisances animal may be trapped and surrendered to Animal Control, however a fee will be assessed to the person surrendering the animal. Cats that are abandoned with suspect information and reliable witness information can be investigated as a case of animal abandonment. |
