The Sheriff's Mounted Posse is a group of equestrian riders who donate their time to the Sheriff's Office to participate in various functions and events. The Mounted Posse raises its own funds and provides its own equipment for riding and trailering their horses. You must have a horse and be willing to train with the team in order to participate in the Mounted Posse. ** We are currently accepting applications for the Mounted Posse. You can obtain an application on-line by going here. You can mail the application to the Columbia County Sheriff: 901 Port Ave., St. Helens, OR 97051 or by dropping it by the Sheriff's Office in person. To find out more, contact the Sheriff's VIPS Coordinator by calling (503) 366-4611 or sending an Email to Mounted Posse.
