Notice of Recording Fee Increase

Effective Monday, September 28, 2009, most documents will be assessed an additional $15.00 recording fee. This is the direct result of the 2009 Legislature's passage of HB 2436, for the benefit of housing-related programs for the State of Oregon.

New fees are effective for documents recorded on September 28, 2009.

Documents that are exempt from this fee include: Mining claims, Oregon Department of Revenue warrants, Oregon Employment Department warrants, IRS liens, lien record abstracts, certified copies of judgments and satisfaction judgments.

The $5.00 fee for additional pages will not be affected.

Recording fees:

• $46.00 for the first page
  • $5.00 for each additional page
• Each additional transaction embodied in one document is $5.00 extra
• There is an additional $20.00 fee for a non-standard documents.

Exceptions:

• Satisfaction of Judgments
  • $5.00 per page
• Military Discharge DD214
  • No charge
• Documents labeled Liens
  • $31.00 for the first page
  • $5.00 for each additional page
