If you haven't discovered Columbia County's parks yet, you are in for a treat!
Yes, northwest Oregon's premier playground, Columbia County, is waiting for you! There's something for everyone here: enjoy world-class windsurfing, fishing, boating, canoeing, bird-watching, cycling, camping, picnicking, rural aviation, historic buildings and much more.
We're proud that the famous Columbia River hugs our shoreline, offering some of the finest recreation opportunities anywhere. Columbia County is fortunate to have this recreational resource, and has in turn developed a full-service parks system, much of which relies on the river itself and its many tributaries. JJ Collins Marine Park, the Beaver Boat Ramp, Prescott Beach and others all offer direct access to the nation's second largest river system. The beautiful Nehalem River, featuring Big Eddy Park, is also here!
Nature is at its best here in Columbia County, and you can view it up close at one of several county facilities. Camp Wilkerson, Hudson-Parcher Park and Scaponia Park all offer glimpses of a multitude of birds and animals in their natural habitat. Walk among the wildflowers and forests and discover a new meaning of the word "relaxation."
A map of the locations of Columbia County's Parks, along with some additional information about features and services is available here.
We invite you to see what many have already discovered about Columbia County: here is a treasure chest of recreational experiences you don't want to miss. So make plans to relax, and come see us! You'll discover a whole new world!
