Coordinated Comprehensive Plan
Prior to the changes initiated by the Oregon Legislature, the Columbia County Commission on Children and Families was responsible for convening, facilitating and leading Columbia County in assessing the conditions which contribute to the well being of people living and working in Columbia County. The resultant document is called the coordinated Community Comprehensive Plan for Children and Families and Juvenile Crime Prevention Plan.
This document incorporates information about our children, families and communities from a variety of sources, including over 20 other plans. These planning efforts are required by the State of Oregon. They are intended to guide public funding so that quality services are provided.
You are invited to explore Columbia County’s plan, remembering it is a snapshot in time. You are also urged to continue to learn about how vibrant communities are created and sustained by visiting the sites referenced in the plan.

Juvenile Crime Prevention Plan
The update for the Juvenile Crime Prevention Plan was completed in 2014. Funding for this work continues to be allocated to the Teen and Family Transition Program. This program serves at risk youth and their families. It is housed at Columbia Community Mental Health. Services are delivered in the home and community or wherever the youth and family can easily access them. This is a case management program which includes building school success, building skills to reduce family conflict and anger management.
